Pastor Gets Called ‘Agent of Satan’ at Satanic Rally by Fellow Christian

[VIDEO] On August 16th, 2018, the Satanic Temple traveled to Little Rock, AR with a giant bronze statue of Baphomet to fight religious discrimination. After Senator Rapert allowed a 10 Commandments monument to be placed on Capitol grounds and then denied the Baphomet, The Satanic Temple organized a Rally for the First Amendment to draw awareness to this blatant show of religious favoritism by a government official who was sworn to uphold the Constitution.

The USA was founded on certain ‘inalienable rights’ including the right to religious freedom, meaning ALL religions, not just Christianity. Hundreds of people showed up in support and to listen to both Satanist and Christian speakers on the importance of the separation of church and state. After the event, Sen. Rapert once more refused to either allow the Baphomet monument or remove the 10 Commandments. Therefore, the Satanic Temple is moving forward with suing the state of Arkansas on the federal level.

I was so thrilled to be able to attend this event. Yes, there were a few protesters, yet none of them caused a problem or made noise over the scheduled speakers save for one individual. When Christian Minister Chad Jones took the stage, giving a brilliant speech explaining Biblically why those of his faith should support not just the right of Satanists to have fair representation, but ALL faiths to have it, another Christian man, donning a ski mask and armed with a giant stick, attacked Jones.

The protester called the minister ‘worse than all the demons in hell,’ ‘a phony,’ and ‘an agent of Satan.’ Satanists, Pagans, and Atheists attending the rally immediately rose up in defense of the minister, demanding the masked man to show his face, booing him, and telling him to ‘fuck off.’ The man proceeded to remove the ski mask, saying ‘I have no reason to hide my face’ before shaking the stick at Jones, who simply retaliated with ‘he’s got just as much a right to be here as we do’ and ‘I hope he has a great day and thank you for coming.’

The man’s possible weapon was taken from him by police, who dutifully responded and calmly escorted the protester away. Jones’ speech ended soon after, which he closed by thanking everyone and telling them ‘I love you no matter what your belief.’ A big thank you to Chad Jones for his rational mind and his loving tolerance, acting much like the Christ he serves. Also, thank you to the police who upheld their responsibilities, to supporters for not acting out, and to the other protesters for acting kindly and not disrupting the event.
