As I’m sure most have guessed, Baphy is just a nickname. Baphy1428 is my username pretty much everywhere you go online. It’s short for ‘Baphomet,’ which is relevant since I’m an Atheistic Satanist. I have a strong COEXIST mindset, meaning I believe all spiritual beliefs are valid so long as they offer others the same basic respect. It’s ridiculous to me the amount of hate people have over religion. Some of my closest friends are devout Christians and Pagans/Heathens and I see no reason why everyone else can’t get along as well as we do. If the world wouldn’t let this divide us so terribly, it would be a much better place to live.
The number comes from being a horror fan. If you know the reference, you get a cookie.
Anyway, my real name is Sahreth Abaddon Bowden. I was born and raised in Arkansas and live my beautiful wife of 9 years, who is also a writer though our styles/genres are quite different. We have many children, including cats, rats, and a mini dachshund named Odie. We’re both nature lovers and probably spend way too much time together.
Let’s see…basic bitch of metal, rat breeder, extrovert, hobby reborn doll & trash artist, doll & taxidermy collector, thrift shop enthusiast, photoshop & photography hobbyist, pansexual, casual goth…
I’m diagnosed with PTSD and Schizoaffective Disorder, which is basically Schizophrenia and Major Depressive Disorder combined. Mental Health Awareness is extremely important to me so you’ll often see me talking about it in general and regarding my own personal struggle. I advocate for mental health in order to erase the numerous negative and false stigmas regarding psychiatric illness and care.
I’ve been disabled all my life. My illnesses began with the diagnosis of Aplastic Anemia when I was 7, following with Hepato-Pulmonary Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia, Avascular Necrosis, and then the genetic disorder thought to have caused all of it: Dyskeratosis Congenita. These have caused a plethora of issues including lung failure that almost killed me, hip replacements, liver transplant, blindness in one eye, inability to run, inability to handle extended periods of standing, and of course the countless medications, blood transfusions, biopsies, aspirations, and so on. I was always made to feel my health defined me and have only recently been able to begin breaking away and embracing what truly makes me, me.
In conclusion, I’m somehow still around (mostly due to my incredibly supportive and patient wife) and still working to achieve my dream of becoming a best-selling author. My debut novel, Visitor’s Blood, book one in its series, is now on sale in ebook and (large) print with an audiobook version on the way! In addition, my first paranormal (gay) romance is set to be published on June 1st. You can find all my works in the ‘books’ tab above. I do write in multiple genres.
So please, take a gander at the site, follow my social medias, and consider reading my stuff? ^_^ Thanks, you! Have a fantastic day!
