“Is Death a dog or a cat? Would it be worse to be turned into a pig or a fish? After we die do we become characters in a movie, or parts for an old truck?
Weird fictioneers Misha Burnett and Louise Sorensen explore the dark depths of the human psyche across ten spine-tingling tales of terror and macabre.
The haunted visions these dueling tale-tellers have conjured find all the horrors that go bump in the night and make them dance for your delight… before drawing you down into the depths to join them.
We cordially invite you to share in our Duel Visions!”
There are two types of people when it comes to horror: those that immediately think blood & guts; and those who prefer a psychological approach to being scared. “Duel Visions” is a mixture of both of these plus some. These ten terrifying tales each have their own brand of horror. One might be focused on gore while another is a mindfuck. There are stories that gradually reveal mysteries along the way and others that leave the reader within the realm of the chilling unknown.
In addition, each story is written with not only a fresh setting, but in a different writing style. Third person or first person; presented as a letter, told in mostly dialogue, flashback, or currently unraveling. Each installment is gripping and many had a ‘read between the lines’ aspect of symbolism/deeper meaning which is something I deeply enjoy.
Many kudos to the author(s) for their creativity, giving me much to think about, and a quite creepy couple of days as I read their book. It is a slightly more expensive ebook, listed as $4.99, but I guarantee that you won’t regret a single penny!
