Hello to all the lovebirds and even those of you gagging about Valentine’s Day right now πππ During the month of February, I’ll be promoting free and 99cent romances from indie authors. Some of these will only be temporarily at such a low price, so please pay attention to the post titles so you don’t miss the deals**
The promoted books aren’t necessarily ones I’ve read so to kickstart things, I want to share some of my favorite romantic/erotic reads from 2019. Prices are listed. Books are available on Amazon/Kindle.
“Eternally Yours”
by Gina Ardito
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Price: $0.99
My Review: From the very first line, I was hooked. The plot of this paranormal romance is incredibly intricate. Everything in this book is masterfully crafted, down to how people in the afterlife experience emotions, memories, and even sex. I found myself growing anxious along with the characters and even crying at some of the situations. Itβs all really, really beautiful.
“Carry the One”
by Sailor Penniman
Genre: Contemporary Romance; Gay
Price: $0.99 (Free on Kindle Unlimited)
My Review: Forget the other Rich boy x Poor boy stories and read this one! βCarry the Oneβ is a beautiful story that explores the destitution of both ends of the wealth spectrum in detailed and heart-wrenching realism. Itβs wonderfully written with perfectly developed characters and atmosphere with a powerful plot-line that hits the core of many issues from both the physical and emotional standpoints.

“Gravel and Grit”
by Stacy Jones
Genre: Paranormal Romance; Science Fantasy; Aliens
Price: $3.99 (or free on Kindle Unlimited)
My Review: With relatable, realistic, and endearing characters, itβs easy to get sucked into the struggles, hopes, and of course, spawning love between Zaek and his new mate, Mira. Both are purpose driven, his to be reunited with his home and hers to discover the secrets surrounding the strange alien technology and creatures. That is, this seems to be their driving factors until readers find there is more fear behind their desires than what it may seem on the surface.
“Ember”
by Christi Whitson
Genre: Contemporary Romance; Mental Health; Struggle
Price:Β $1.99 (or free on Kindle Unlimited)
My Review: Wow. A lot to say on this one and yet Iβm trying to decide what will ruin the story if I share it. Letβs start with the impressive character development and go from there. This story starts off in a nontypical way for romance. The author introduces Lena and Owen, two children from two very different yet equally unfortunate situations. These two remain in a committed and steadfast bond. Thatβs not to say they donβt have problems that come up, itβs just that the author focuses on outer-lying issues rather than those within the relationship itself.
Genre: Paranormal Romance; Erotica; Werewolf; Fantasy
Price: $0.99
My Review: Moon Shadows is book one in a series of short, choose your path stories. It’s an erotic and sexually inclusive tale about bi/pansexual John who is brought into the world of shape-shifting wolves by the beautiful Ebony (which the reader gets to choose the sex of). There’s more to the series than just sex; it’s a sweet romance with intriguing lore and adventure. I have read and reviewed all books in the series so far.
“Blood from a Stone”
by Rose Madon
Genre: Vampire; Romance; Fantasy; Lesbian
Price: $2.99 (or free on Kindle Unlimited)
My Review: There is never a dull moment in this book. The author truly captures the mysteriously erotic nature that these creatures of the night have come to be known for while also creating an amazingly unique adventure. I love that the paranormal aspects of the story are not overdone. It gives a truly real essence to the story that keeps the reader wanting more, just like Lark.
Genre: Poetry; Romance; Erotica
Price: $1.30 (or free on Kindle Unlimited)
My Review: This book begins with poems about the experiences surrounding feelings of attraction and love and then escalates into the more intense situations that come from lust and physical expression. Overall, it is a well-written collection of poetry that offers both naughty and nice, romance and carnal pleasure. A beautiful work for lovers of the romantic, the erotic, and poetry in general.
“Reluctant Hearts”
by Skye Kelrose
Genre: Romance; Historical
Price:Β $2.99 (or free on Kindle Unlimited)
My Review: With a simple and straightforward writing style, βReluctant Heartsβ is a charming tale of romance and overcoming tragedy. The setup seems typical, but the histories, emotions, and twists that it throws at the reader reveal a creative plot.
“Fated to Meet You”
by Desponia Kemeridou
Genre: Paranormal Romance; Fairy Tale
Price: $2.99
My Review: Time travel, a curse, danger, and love: the perfect recipe for a fairy tale. The author has created an endearing tale which constantly throws new information and twists at the reader. Even after all is said and done with the kingdoms of the past, the heroineβs journey continues to be full of curiosity and intrigue.
