Normally I’m not very big on x boss stories, but I really enjoyed this one! Part of it was how unlike the more common deal where the underling is being pursued by their boss, it was the opposite. I liked seeing Brandon, the submissive, determined to experience Tarek, the dominant, and trying to work around rules of propriety in the workplace in order for them both to let loose and have fun.

That was another thing I loved: the presentation of BDSM lifestyles. It seems most people think that sexually submissive personalities are the ones that wait for a move to be made rather than go for it themselves. I thought it was great how the author showed that being a sub does not mean the person is submissive in all aspects of their life or that they are not assertive. The scenes of BDSM and how different members of the community approach the lifestyle were not only realistic, but totally HOT.

The characters and situations of the story were written very well-written overall. To be honest, I would love to see more about Brandon and Tarek’s lives. It’s the mark of a great erotica author to be able to make their stories both sexy and endearing, in my opinion. I enjoyed the realism and relatability of the characters and situations….and did I mention HOT?
